The quality of Portuguese wines has seen dramatic improvements in recent years. There are now real gems to be found at reasonable prices.  We have a passion for the traditionally produced wines which have natural cork stoppers and we reject the mass produced, volume market offerings with metal screw tops. Opening a bottle of wine should be a moment to savour – anticipation, tradition, romance, celebration, relaxation. As Lucy Siegle said recently in the Observer, “.....the sound of a real cork leaving the bottle is a rare bacchanalian way to do the right thing.” 

Whatever the occasion, knowing the wine has come from a small producer who cares about his wines and keeps the traditions alive should be applauded and attract a growing following.  We hope you will enjoy our delicious wines.
